Company Type?

My business partner and I are in the process of establishing a new publishing company.

Our company will publish a printed magazine, that will be available to the public, we will publish articles and content on a website that will be relative to our magazine.

What type of company should we register for our project? Please keep in mind that in our future plans we do want branch out to other countries in a franchise form.

Given that the entity will be entering into contracts, I'd recommend a company or close corporation.

The main considerations in deciding between the two types are:

• How complex is the ownership going to be?
• Is there going to be a difference between ownership and top management?
• The annual audit/accounting cost.
• How important is it to have the extra financial credibility of a company?
