Installing an earth spike with a TN-S earth system

Too many questions and too little facts, lots of giba gaba.

We talking TN-S earthing system. All electrical installation in our part of SA are suppose to be TN-S.

The question: is it a good idea to install and earth spike close to the inverter?

If you feel there should be an earth spike, then why not install it at the meter box and install a 16/25 mm earth wire?

We all understand that there is a huge issue with cable theft, which results in all sorts of dangerous situations, would it not be better to scrap the old TN-S method?

What are the consequences of the council converting your TN-S system into a TN-C or TN-C-S system?

Note 2 on page 310 sounds about right for the situation we found the other day.

Around here in the Northern Cape there is still a lot of houses with TN-C systems. The neutral and earth are then combined in the meter box to provide an earth for the house. Sometimes the neutral is bridge in the DB outside the house, before the Earth Leakage.
The problem is that the Neutral from time comes loose due to bad connections or due to cable loss, the Earth wire then become alive because the load on the Neutral is looking for a path to the ground.
I think this is the main reason why the TN-C system is not being used anymore
