Pastel v17 cash book - VAT entry?

Hi All

Please help, I'm need to capture the monthly expenses that we paid for, the are not creditors just paid with credit card, do I have to tick vat on settings in cashbook or not before capturing all these payments?

The method of payment does not affect the company's entitlement to claim the input VAT.
