[Question] Payroll excel template

Hi all, I am assisting an uncle who does his payroll manually. Small business, about 6 staff. I would like a excell spreadsheet/template for him to enter his amounts and his paye/sdl/ uif must be calculated automatically. Currently he’s doing everything MANUALLY. Thanks in advance.

This is the challenge. Apart from the fairly significant requirements of understanding, effort and responsibility that goes with providing these calculations "automatically", how are you going to keep up to date with all the changes? (And oh boy, at the moment are there changes going on!!!)

I have found payroll programs to be valuable even at the best of times where changes in PAYE rates only occur once a year and other changes were only occasional. In current times, good luck trying to get all the numbers right any way other than via a payroll program. They are really earning their crust at the moment.

We haven't used the payroll function, but the accounting side. My wife has a practice.
