    Workers Comp Rebate

I received a letter in March 2010 from Workers Comp stating that I was getting a R8k refund from them. We then got our assessment in September 2010 which showed the figure credited to our account.

I have just received a letter from New Integrated Credit Solutions (Workers Comps Lawyers) asking for the money back.

Has this happened to anyone else out there?

I haven't received a refund but I'm interested why they thought you qualified for a refund and why they changed their mind shortly afterward.

Be careful its not some scam!!!!

They where scamming people under the SARS banner recently telling business owners that they received a refund and then after asking for it back.

Money goes to scamsters accounts and "REFUND" never came into your account in the first place!!!!!!!!

Did you see the R8K in your bank account?

The bank account listed on the Lawyers letter is the exactly the same as the Workers Comp account that we have payed into previously so I don't think it is a scam.

And what reference number are you supposed to use?
It could belong to another employer.

            I'll second that question

I can think of at least one scenario where they might "change their minds" - if you got credited with a no-claim bonus, and then a claim came in late for the period concerned.

Ask for a detailed statement. At least that way you can interrogate what's been happening line by line.
