How to remove Skype embedded numbers?

Can anyone tell me how to remove the Skype embedded logo (see screenshot below) from phone numbers in my browser?

Okay, I'll have a bash at this. I'm guessing you're using microsloth's IE browser. When you install Skype it comes with a notoriously buggy plugin called SkypeIE plugin. I would suggest the best way to deal with it is to search your competer for the plugin dll called 'SkypeIEPlugin.dll' and once you find it rip it out by the nuts using the delete function. Just make sure skype and your browser are closed otherwise a locking handle may be applied to the file.

You can probably attack the problem from the browser side by going into the preferences and plugin manager and disabling it from there but Skype (take a deep breath your bandwidth bill is in the post) may reapply it if it was a selected option during the install....I'm not sure.

      Thanks Andy.

I am using Firefox, and I eventually found out how to disable the add-on.

You can also try to uninstall it from Add/Remove programs (XP) or Program and Features (Vista and 7) just underneath the Skype in the list, if I remember correctly...
