    [Question] Website timing out

Even with AVAST temporarily turned off I cannot get to a specific site with Firefox and Chrome. It times out. One of my colleagues at a different location cannot get it either, but the other one at a different location again can get it.

My cell with WIFI disabled can get to the site (Firefox).

When I PING it in command it times out as well.

Council insists the site is up. If my router is playing up for some flipping reason why would my college not get it either?

    What can I do?

I can access the site - using Chrome on Mac, with Internet Solutions as ISP.

Are you suggesting it might get blocked at my ISP?

Fine here with Vox as the ISP.

A good start is to clear out your DNS cache.

                close the browsers.

                Go Run - cmd<-

                type: ipconfig / flushdns

close the command window and then bounce your network interface.

Oh yeah... times out for me using Opera, FF etc etc and it's 3.03AM so it's doubtful a heavy traffic problem.

I complaint to my ISP. They did some "resets" and I restarted my router again and that did the trick. So the blockage was on their side. So annoying. Thanks for you input though.

Cybersmart, lots of troubles from time to time, but I guess others are not much better. A bit like banks, they take turns to scrw one around.
