Question for Neville (Or anyone) about Mac

Neville - I wonder if you can help me please. I know you run windows in parallel on you mac. I have the 13inch mac pro and need to run only one package (Fingerprint readers system linked to Lexis Nexis) on it. Can you tell me the best way to go about it please ? I am awarer that you can either do a crossover if you only want to run one application which is the case here, so I don't need to install the complete windows program ...... if that makes sense and I would prefer to have the older Windows 7 if that was at all possible

I thank you and anyone else that may be able to help me with a solution

You will need to install a complete Windows OS on Parallels, even if you only need to run one Windows application.

Once you have launched Windows (after opening Parallels) you can launch your Fingerprint system.

You will then see an icon for your Fingerprints system in your Mac dock, and you can easily toggle between that system to anywhere else on your Mac and copy and paste between the two OS's.

There's no problem installing Windows 7 on Parallels, but you will still need a W7 licence, just as you would for a regular W7 installation.

I am currently running both Windows 10 and Windows XP on Parallels, although I don't often run the two Windows OS's simultaneously, due to RAM constraints.
