    DIY installation Telkom extension

Hi, I'll be moving into a cottage in a retirement complex. It has only one telkom socket and I want to add an additional two. I have two left hands and need all the help I can get. I.e. How do I identify the cable at the existing socket?

Why dont you just get a splitter? The line goes into the small box, and the box splits it... many places sells it.

Then you dont have to open the cable and try working on it, Telkom don't like that.

Yep splitter with long cables with plugs and plug connectors if they don't reach
