    IPS Driver Error

Can someone please explain to me, "as if I was a six-year old," what does this mean.
    IPS Driver Error
*There appears to be an error with the database.*

I tried to log onto my webpage (jaffyhead) and the above error appeared. I tried refreshing the page, but nothing happened. I did an internet search, but I must admitted all the technical jargon means very little to me and the technical abbreviation even less.

Is the problem on the server or is the program I'm using Invision Power Board?
    Any help would be appreciated
    Many Thanks

IPS = Invision Power Services? This would appear to be an Invision software warning.

I could hazard some guesses as to the cause of the problem, but the best place to ask would be on the Invision website forum, either on the Peer-to-peer technical support forum, or in their client area (both immediately accessible from the above link).

Way to go, Vincent. I've heard their support is OK.

Is this a new installation, or a new problem on an old installation?

A new installation, we added a program to upload and download music and video files. I loaded four files; 2 music and 2 mpegs, logged off, and when I returned a few hours later wasn't able to log on. Could have also been we had just upgraded from version 3 to 4.

We've been working with them for about two months and their support has been great - their turnaround time can be from a few minutes to a couple of hours, depends on the problem. (ISP driver error was the worst)

Just been back and they have sorted the problem out - they haven't send any info yet to explain what went wrong. at least the page is up.

OK. I didn't want to speculate as to the exact cause - there were quite a few possibilities. Essentially, the software was loading. It either couldn't find the database or it didn't like what it saw when it got there. From what you're saying, probably the latter

But then with commercial software such as this, you can expect professional support. No need for advice from amateurs such as me.
