[Question] What's your e-commerce solution of choice?

I'm currently running oscommerce on my shopping website. I found it quite easy to install and configure. There's quite a few plugins and themes available. That's why I decided to use it. Not that I would switch to another one at the moment, but is anybody using something else?

OSCommerce is the best PHP app available, best .net2 app is DotNetNuke imo

osCommerce and Zen-Cart are absolute nightmares if you want to customise your cart at all!

I use Drupal with Ubercart module. Very easy (for me, anyway), very extensible.

I have to agree with you about osCommerce. It took me quite some time to get the hang of it. Unfortunately, I bought an expensive theme for it, before I took the time to check out the back-end. Threw myself in the deep-end there, but I suppose it was the best way to learn all about it. Fortunately it does have some advantages. Like the shipping and handling plugins you get for Speed Services Courier, and the plugins you get for Jump Shopping and MyKindaPrices.com. This saved me quite a bit of time.

Hmm, those plugins DO sound very useful. Maybe I should have a look at them and develop Drupal counterparts Any chance you can PM the URL to those specific plugins?

I thought I'd post them here in case somebody else needs them. There are 2 plugins for speed services. I don't really prefer one over the other, it's entirely up to you. oscommerce speed services

It's the top two on the above search result.

The plugins for Jump Shopping and MyKindaPrices I got from their respective owners when I signed up to the services. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to distribute them. I can find out for you though?

I like opencart. I have played with it but I have never set up a production site.
