    Intel E7200

    Hi everyone.
    I need some help again.

i have bought a Intel E7200 for a friend (11 months ago) and now he needs his money back.

It hasn't been opened. everything is just as it was 11 months ago.
Since i couldn't find any site that has the 7200 still in stock i don't have a clue how much it is worth.

I'm definitely not going to refund him the R 1426.80 since it is no longer worth that much.
Luckily I have someone who want to buy it but i need to know its value first.
Can anyone give me a rough estimate?

    Thanks

      Hell NO.

For that price i can get a much better cpu.
      E7400, E7500, E7600 and Q8200 is all below R 1420.

      I'd say its got a 30 - 45 % depreciation.
Take a processor from the same month and if you're lucky its still available today then the price would be 30 - 45% lower.

Asking me to pay the same price is just stupid. Would you REALLY pay that much for it?? Come on, be honest.

I was figuring on R 600 - 800. But since i don't want to screw the guy. i'll ask once again - what is your opinion?

Funny when it comes to this sort of thing. It depreciates until it becomes legacy - then it costs at least twice as much as the heyday price

Perhaps with cars it is. The same is Not true with PC's
Would you buy a Pentium II and how much do you think that would cost??

whoops, the picture is looking surprising dodgy actually. it seems to be included in something. yeah, I'm going to agree with you.
              we'll look at 2 products...
              E7400 just CPU

              E7400 funky same box

it's about 24% difference. so similar pricing to the E7400. I'd say if it's still boxed, but warranty is gone, then that's going to pound the price. I'd say going towards the 850-900 range (dropping it off by 26%).

I guess that proves to me someone over there needs to get fired. that isn't just the CPU.

                Thanx
                Sahara has the 7400 for R 980.
And 8 months ago the 7200 was also 9XX just before it went off the market.

                PriceCheck is insane!!!

                Thanks for the help tho.
