    I don't see this as a problem at all. Civilizations come and go, it is nature's way. Nature will adapt and life will continue. We have been blocking our own evolution far too long by artificial means because we believe that our current form is the pinnacle of life - in the long run nature will simply wipe the slate, renew, regroup and redesign. At the end of the day we are evolving our world (at the expense of ourselves and many other species) but then, that is the nature of man. I can't see how our current form could be the pinnacle of life, we are the cancer of the earth!

      The problem with becoming the "dominant species" is that once you're at the top of the food chain, there's only one thing that can get to you consistently... your own species.
      we're going to end ourselves.
