How practical would it be for someone to do a companies G/L on the Pastel office system from your home via Team Viewer using IDSL lines on both sides ?

It would work fine, provided you have a commercial version of TeamViewer, which is quite expensive (I paid almost R5k for mine). The free version will stop working if you use it too frequently.
Otherwise, use LogMeIn (the free version) - it's a bit sluggish compared to TeamViewer, but it's workable.Neville Bailey - Sage Pastel Accounting Consultant

I use the free version of Team Viewer for about 3 hours per week for one of my clients and to date I have had no issues. ADSL 4gig uncapped accounts on both sites"If at first you don't succeed, do it like your mother told you."Comment

Only if:
1) the other computer can do Remote Desktop, which Windows xxx Home can't
2) if you know the other computers public IP address, or have setup something like http://www.dyndns.org already.
