Hi KristiKat, I fixed most of your links for you, not sure why but they had 'HTTP://' twice at the beginning of all of them. One of them was a cached Google search result which would have expired at some stage.

There is one link that points to an Australian site, not sure if that was intentional so I left it.

          thank you andy...

I should probably not copy the HTTP part when i copy the link...to paste it...hehe

and yes the australian one is there for a reason it explains the concept better.

Unfortunately some of the above links provide out of date information.

            1. You must register with the Department of Labour as an electrical contractor. Previous threads on the subject at:
            Electrical contractor registration
            DOL electrical contractor registration
            Electrical contractor registration

But it appears from the OP you have already crossed this hurdle.

Note: Registration with the ECB is voluntary nowadays - the main benefit of doing so would be it is an online service providing evidence of appropriate certification. It also means you could use their electronic COC.

            2. Judging by this discussion on the COC form, the two main sources of forms are the ECA and the ECB. I have heard some AIA's are also selling COC forms.
            Participation is voluntary.
