[Question] Correspondence Paper 1 and 2

Hi all,

I Have a BTECH degree and would like to register as an Instillation Electrician. As far as I can tell I'm exempt from a trade test, but need to complete Paper 1 and 2 and then attend a practical workshop for a couple days (please correct me if I'm wrong).

Is there any way to self-study the regulations and write the papers 1 & 2 without having to sit in classes? I'm in Cape Town.

I'd say it depends on the institution offering installation rules courses. I know for sure Open Learning units under FET college provide distant learning. I would have recommend you take one paper per trimister reason being you might find yourself overloaded with study work unless U can handle it. I must say its a lot of study work.
