    P.L.C. Software

Hi are there any P.L.C. boffins out there I have 3 machines that I must get Going trouble is the control system is via a Siemens LOGO 230RCL they are approx 10 yrs old and I know that contacting Siemens would be futile as they will only want to sell me a new system what I need is the software ( program) and the dongle to connect the unit up to my computer so that I can read the program to see what the heck is going on as there are timers switching solenoids and a pump, fans and lights.I have tried to download the software from the net but Siemens obviously dont allow it I can only get an explaination on the operation of the unit, also the programming is in list or statement wich I am not familier with I have done some programming but in ladder. I will attach a picture of the plc it has 12 IPs and 8 OPshttp://www.theforumsa.co.za/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=5117&d=1418756670&thum b=1&stc=1Click image for larger version

Are you sure you need the program disk? You can scroll through the program using the built-in keys and display and you can change the timings etc.

What problem do you think the controller has?

Thanks AndyD I would like to see the whole program and not just sections as it will be a learning curve for me as I have mentioned I have only used ladder logic to program plc's at present I do not know exactly what the functions are there are various cycles that the machine must go through
