Must pass both MIE exams in one year?

good day,
a question for those who know about becoming a master installation electrician.
I need some advice, I recently passed the subjected specialised electrical installation codes(Nov 2015).
but I passed paper 2 (Nov 2014), do I still qualify to apply for my master certification, or do I have to rewrite paper 2, I have read somewhere that both papers must be passed within the same academic year, please advise,
