Trying to find a gland. Help please.

As per thread title I'm trying to source a gland via a supplier in South Africa. I've imported them in the past but the cost is astronomical with shipping.

The body of the gland is nickle plated brass or it can also be aluminium. The mesh strain relief grip is stainless steel. I need them as a 20mm gland to accept a cable of 8-12mm dia. Also need them as a 25mm gland to accept a cable of 14-18mm dia.

Thanks in advance for any pointers or advice.

Oh you guys, you crack me up I'll take the money though if you're offering Leecatt.

I assume nobody knows a supplier then...

Andy, did you try Pratley SA? http://www.cablegland.com or phone 011 955-2190/8 and ask for Hermanus Buys

Hi Andy is the thread on the gland detrimental as there are also a difference between p.g., b.s.p. and metric in metric the pitch of the thread is usually 1.5mm. I mention this as I have been caught like that before it is o.k.if you can "make a plan" but why should you if you go through all the trouble of tracking them down and purchasing them

Thanks for the info, I'll try giving Pratley a call although I already scoured their product range and couldn't find any signs of this gland type.

The thread pitch isn't critical, hopefully the gland should come with a retaining nut. As long as it's nominal 20mm diameter it will be suitable for my application.
