[Question] Registering as single phase tester

Good day. My husband just received his certificate of results for a single phase tester. What we would like to know is what comes next? We know we have to register with DOL but can it be by any DOL office (we are in Dundee in KZN) or must we go to Durban? How long will registration take approximately? Any useful information will be much appreciated. Thank you.

He can apply at the nearest DOL office for the application.

Good day Andrea. He needs to fill in the application for the sing phase tester registration certificate/card with all the relevant documents(certified copies) and 2 I'd photos with the application form, mail it to the address of DoL in Pretoria(postal address is on the application form). When he receives his card he should fill in the application to register as an electrical contractor and add certified copies of the relevant document and certificates also his companies registration certificates to the DoL in Durban.

Thank you. Unfortunately trying to get hold of DOL in Pretoria seems to be impossible. We would have no choice but to drive 400kms to hand in the papers as we don't trust the postal services. We've got the contact details of the lady that works with it in Pta but she is not answering her phone or emails. Hope when we go she will actually be in hger office. Anyone have an alternative contact person \ number.

0123094378 or 0123094682. If you get hold of them ask for the physical address and send it via courier.
