Circuit Breaker faulty?

Hey all,

So, last night switched on the living room lights and it was just "flickering". When I switched on my study light, the living room light came on.

Old house with newer electricals. My question is, can a circuit breaker be faulty? All other electrics in the house works fine.

I am no sparky and do not know what is cause of your issue, but a circuit breaker can most certainly be faulty.

With the living room light switch still on or off?

The trouble with light circuits misbehaving is that it really heads out of the DIY space and into "call an electrician" space pretty rapidly.

Sounds like a loose connection on the Neutral line some where.
I suggest a qualified electrician is called in to fault finding.

The chances of it being a faulty circuit breaker are very very slim. From experience it's much more likely a bad wiring connection which can be a fire hazard.
