[Question] Estimated load calculation for paper 1

    Hi all
I hope someone can shed some light on this one. I am currently preparing for my IR paper 1 and will be writing next month (July 24). I have been looking at some past papers and lately they give you amongst other things a oil heater say 500W but they specify volume as well like (10L or 12L). I am not sure what to do with this volume, or do I just ignore it?

    Please assist

Hi Mapholoba, sorry for to late for the exams. but your question on the volume has nothing to do with the calculation itself. We only have to differentiate between oil and water heaters for the diversity factors. As for oil heaters you use 0.5 of its load current and for water heaters its the full load. Hope it helps. Hope this helps.

Thank you very much W-TDMI. Well the paper was pure theory this time around and one never had to use the calculator, not even once. I am awaiting the results.
        Thanks again
