    CBI equipment

It seems that a Indian gentlemen from Lanasia flooded the market with thousands of earth leakage and CB's units, which he sold to the local suppliers.
He appeared in court and was sentenced to time and heavy fines, so, if you are in the gauteng area it would be worth checking your purchase before paying.
I am waiting for document proof from CBI manufacturing with regards to there Isolators being fed in the bottom or top, they say top or bottom makes no difference. I have never been sure on this.

I remember quite a while ago there was an influx of pirate CBI breakers, it was discussed in a thread somewhere (which I can't seem to find at the moment ).

I would imagine from a purely electrical point of view that an isolator could work equally well if it's wired either way. If it's marked as line on top and load at the bottom I'd say you would need to stick to wiring it the way it's labelled unless it can be relabelled accordingly.
