Fixed appliance next to a water tap

    Hi

Just had an interesting question on the positioning of a stove next to a sink - No where in the regulations do I find a minimal distance from water with regards to fixed appliances. Not even to say that it must be on Earth Leakage.

It appears that you could place the stove hard up against the sink - Definitely make filling the pot with water a lot easier with a mixer tap next to the stove.

Anybody seen anything to the contrary

No, not seen anything to say you can't. A stove is designed to have liquids and high humidity in close proximity and being a 'fixed appliance' or at least big enough to be unlikely for the stove to accidentally end up in the sink I don't really see a problem. Many sinks could also be loosely be classed as a fixed electrical appliance if they have an integral waste disposal.
