    Regs re electricity in tents

I remember from my Army days that only electric lighting, 32V was allowed in tents. We recently had a case where homeless people were ''temporarily'' housed in a local caravan park and given access to electricity. I do not at all begrudge them the use of electricity, but, query the legality thereof. I was unable to find anything in SANS or the OSH act specific to tents.

There are regs specific to temporary supplies and installations, stage and theatre, mobile homes etc. With appropriate design there's no voltage limit to lighting.

Thanks. I wasnt sure. As I said, nothing in the Regs specific to tents. Going to treat them as a ''campsite''.
