I have just become aware of the update edition 3 to the recently released South African national standards for electrical installations.
At this point in time the available information seems to be very vague with some sources indicating that this edition will be made available within the next two months.
Does anybody have any up-to-date information regarding this?

There has been talk about it for a while already...all it means to most of us is more money wasted on regulations that nobody bothers about.

I will wait a year or 2 ...by then the next edition should be released

that reminds me i bought the edition 2 when my mate left for the UK at the end of last year...i still havent had a chance to read through it...or should i say bothered to read it.

The edition 3 is a reality and was meant to be released at the end of September for Public comment .I have not heard if this has actually happened.
Will more than likely go through public comment , and then only go for printing .
Would think it will be available early next year.

They seem intent on making us purchase a complete new book.

Will wait for a pirate copy...not making any money as it is....cocs being sold for a 1 liter ice cold black label with all the ambiguity of the delphic regs and the resulting interpretations as the machiavellian puppet masters see it fit to satisfy their circumstance and egos.
