    Flexible Conduit

Hi. SANS says flexible conduit cannot be buried in plaster unless it has been designed for the purpose. Anyone know of any that has been designed to be buried under plaster.

    Hi Reg

There was a thread on flexible conduit previously - https://www.theforumsa.co.za/forums/...exible-conduit

There are approved flexible conduits for under plaster available

Some of the cheap metalic flexible conduit open up on the seems when bent too much, those would be a bad idea in plaster, as it will block up the route, but we use lots of the pvc sprag and partially inside plaster the consulting engineer seems to be ok with it.

You get a few different grades of flexible conduit ...ones which just collapse when you push your thumb onto it and ones which dont.

a note ...even the good strong one splits when you glue it with standard pvc glue.
