Does anyone know the IP rating of a 20 mm pvc round box normally used for conduit work in the ceiling. Is this box considered weather proof.

If it doesn't have a manufacturers spec sheet that states the IP rating I'd guess you'd have to treat it as being unrated. Realistically I'd probably class it as IP44 if incoming conduits were glued and if the lid was a snug fit but I wouldn't consider it fit for external use where it's in the weather, also it's doubtful it would be UV stable.
