I also prefer one DB with the Eskom Main Switch section and also the Alternate power main Switch section so that both switches can be easily switched off without going through a building looking for where the alternate power main switch is situated.

This barrier issue was bought up in a dispute between a solar installer and the customer local electrician.
The question is do you fit a piece of poly carb from the top to the bottom ... or would you regard 2 clipin blanks as an adequate barrier.
Personally i would think a circuit breaker space/gap between the eskom and alternate power would be adequate.Comments are based on opinion...not always facts....that's why people use an alias.Comment
