    Coviva

Anyone used this product? A hager smart home solution.

I have a few projects on the go which require smart solutions.

SOme of the systems I have been looking into:

Sonoff ... simple easy for a technically challenged person like me

CBI ... also very simple but not too happy with the ASC unit I have been installing ... biggest issue is loosing the wifi and it shuts down ... you have to keep reseting it.

Schneider ... Looks expensive has som really good features ... but support for has proved to be the biggest challenge.

Coviva ... going to look into this system ... I need ed information about a temperature controller ... called the technical department ... problem was solved in literally 5 minutes ... the technical guy knew what he was talking about.

Technical support has become a deciding factor with everything I purchase.

For example ... I would'nt buy a landys and gyr product for example ... 3 years later ... I still cant get someone to setup a E650 ... its like trying to suck water out of a stone.

You have to be careful when buying stuff ... another example is clearline ... they outsource programing and stuff for their products ... trying to get a product firmware update has taken more than a year and still no joy ... they did send me a message to tell me it would be ready in Febuary this year ... and we wait patiently ... while the customers installation stands unprotected ... lets hope they dont get another R220 000 hit on the building again ( we wont even go into the bullshyte stories from the insurnace about the diffrence between "lightning" and "surge" and the small print)

Thats interesting ... you have to pay for training to become an installer.

I wonder if Electromechanica is the direct impoters and license holder of the product and software.

Most companies wanting you to install their products offer free training and support.
