Product bashing

The definition - Googled but cant find anything.

I need to clear this up so that I dont get banned from this forum. I have found that Dave has always been fair with the manner in which he moderates this forum. I am sure if he felt I was product bashing he would send me a PM if he felt the information I had posted was not true and request that I support my comments with facts.

What is product bashing, can someone explain this to me.

I would think that product bashing is when someone lies on a public platform about a product?

If the comments about a product are true, then it would not be regarded as product bashing?

Would selling a product directly to the public at prices which are less than than installers can get directly from the manufacturer, regarded as unethical or smart business?

Depends on what the product is. If it is a consumable, then they have a large market that will support them. Typical eastern business practice.
Get you to develop the market, then when it is flowing nicely, they step in and take away your hard earned market by supplying direct at a better price.
This happened to me with a very well known local wholesaler.

I think that it is unethical, and a path to business closure if it is a niche product.
Then again desperate businesses do stupid things to relieve themselves of cash flow.
