Wireways for essential and non essential wiring

What are your thoughts on essential and non essential wiring to and from a single DB.

Lets say you you fit a 3 layer DB and wire, make one level the essential, another level the non essential and the top is used for terminals, relays and other components.

You fit all the labels as required to identify the non essential and essential.

Do you separate the wiring inside the DB for the essential and non essential ?

Do you go so far as to install sperate wireways, for example 2 compart trunking to separate the wires?

Or should I be asking if there is a regulation that requires they are separated like AC and DC cabling.

Would a barrier be required of the essential are wired in the same DB?

Not sure of any laws for essential and not. We basically make what ever we want essential as what is essential for one is not for another.

We run it all in the same wireways etc and in DBs we split and try keep all essential and non in groups i.e tiers or left and right etc, depending on the existing board.
