Working for house agents

I did a job for a property agent replacing plugs in a flat, i sent the invoice to him for said amount, when i received payment it was double the agreed amount, that was actually wrongly paid in my acc., that tells me they all make a quick buck, from working parties.
This to me is so wrong, people complain about our prices, but really this pisses me off, is this the norm or what?

I personally don't mind being paid double :-)

But if you mean the end client was charged double your fee then ya, I agree
