I f you install a plug that connects directly to the DB via C/B. Can I use a 4mm wire with C/B 40A and the plug will be 32A. I need to use for portable welding.
4sqmm wire is rated at 32Amps so if you using 40Amp CB then it should be 6sqmm.
The plug would need to be "welding socket " type rated at 32 Amp and on Earth leakage
