    Oven

Quick one, ovens I always have on ELU, but under cooking appliances section there is no where I can see stating it has to be on ELU,

So I have an oven, hard wired, does it need to be on ELU ?

Will keep looking regs but always find Stove and stove coupler then no ELU but can't find yet that a Oven or even stove needs to be on ELU if hard wired ?

On a socket then it's on ELU as then it's a socket and that I found in regs but not hard wired.

I take it by " hard wired " you mean it's on a dedicated stove circuit rated at more than 16A with an isolator.

If that's the case then ELU is not required.

The regulations for cooking appliances apply.

    6.16.3 Cooking appliances

NOTE Cooking appliances include built-in stoves, oven hobs , and the like. Ed 3.1 page 185.

Yes exactly that. And you right. I was looking for the words basically saying no ELU needed.

I often forget that things dont have to be on ELU so I always look for words saying not having to be on.

      Thank you uncle
