[Question] MIE required to sign off battery bank?

    Good day all.
If I may ask installation of a solar system it need master installation certificate or it fall under a specialized installation because of the batteries since it use chemicals. I m referring to the issuing of coc. It need master installation electrician (MIE) to issue COC because of the batteries.

If the battery bank is such that it is deemed a hazardous location, then it will be need to be signed off by an MIE. The main issue as I understand it is the gasses given off by the batteries. The prime example would be a lead acid battery bank where you could accumulate dangerous levels of hydrogen.

Mie required to sign off a battery bank, its like asking what size earth wire should I use for an electrical installation?

You would need to give more details, it is not a simple yes/no answer. I wish it was, there seems to be a lot of confusion about batteries and safe installation location.
Comments are my opinion, unless regulations are attached to support the comment. This is social media, not a court room.
