Sunsynk no earth, no dedicated neutral bar

    Good day
Just been at a client with a new SunSynk install with a coc for the installation.
I had to move a plug from the essentials db to the non-essentials db
First thing I noticed is that the neutral bar is not splitted. The essential and non-essential circuits share a neutral.
Secondly when switching off the main input the plugs don't have an earth. So I assume there is no neutral earth bridge.
The best part is that the client say he has a coc, everything works and that everything I say is wrong!

So I guess it will be a while before I work at his place again.

    Greetings

A permanent bond pretty much does the same thing, if you create a second neutral/earth bond (permanent bond as its referred to by some people) you doing pretty much the same thing ?

The earth is common while in grid mode and the TN-S system for example has a bond at the star point of the transformer, so the grid neutral and earth is the same and so is the ups neutral and earth ?

Its only when it goes into islanding mode that the relay will open which will open the neutral earth bond on the grid?
Comments are my opinion, unless regulations are attached to support the comment. This is social media, not a court room.

If you switch the main breaker off the neutral on the inverter can't "see" the transformer. Is it not better then to separate the neutrals and give the second neutral a permanent earth so that you don't have a floating neutral when in islanding mode?

Only if it is controlled by the inverter when in 'Islanding' mode via a relay/contactor.
Do a search on the forum, with respect to Neutral/Earth bonding, there is a ton of invaluable information in the threads.
