    Ai and the sabs 10142

I asked ChatGPT whether I could upload SANS 10142 for review, and the response was:

“Short answer: You can upload it, but only in small pieces.
The document is copyrighted. I can review sections, summarise, explain, break down requirements, or help you build reference sheets, but only if you upload excerpts, not the entire book.”

Here is my question: How can I integrate SANS 10142 into an AI system legally?
If I copy and paste pages on a daily basis, will the AI effectively learn the full document over time? Another option is to use my phone to take photos, extract the text I need from each page, and upload only the required portions. I understand why the full document is not available for public review online.

The app I’ve created is designed specifically for tradespeople. It eliminates paperwork, avoids clutter, and removes the need for cramped handwritten notes. You simply add the information you need, when you need it, without unnecessary pages or wasted space.

It’s 2025 and we still don’t have a proper Open AI regulation platform where people can ask technical questions about the code and actually get a straight, authoritative answer. Instead, we end up in groups and forums full of people pushing their own interpretations, arguing about “grey areas,” and confusing everyone even more.

The reality is, if you aim in the right direction, even someone like me — with only two weeks of AI experience — can end up deep down the rabbit hole. In that time, I’ve taken 45 years of industry experience and compressed it into a two-page prompt that builds the exact app I need. No fluff, no theory, just a precise, working tool.

Off the back of that, I’ve already created a fully digital COC test report system that’s live on my laptop right now. It’s clean, functional, and people would pay good money just to get a glimpse of it. And no, I’m not sharing it yet. Not until I figure out how to turn these apps into proper passive income. I’m not giving this work away for free.

This week I haven’t touched a pen or paper once. Everything — timesheets, quotes, scopes of work, material lists — all gets handled on my phone while I walk and talk.

When I walk the site with the customer, the phone stays in my pocket, AirPod in my ear, and I talk through every detail. As soon as we’re done, I upload the audio. By the time I’m back in the office, the entire meeting is summarised, the full material list is generated, the tools needed are listed, market-related pricing is loaded, and all risks are flagged. The how-to videos for every task are included in the summary.

All I do is review the quote, make a few adjustments, and it’s summarised and ready to email to the customer.
