    Distribution Board regulations

    Hi all,
    Just want to know if anyone can tell me what the regs say on clear distance in front of a DB. I was a site yesterday and there is about 450mm in front of the DB to the wall so working on it is a nightmare but would like to point this out in my report to the client.

      Off hand I do not recall specific measurements however, it is required that you have "easy, unobstructed" access. This can be pushed to the limit from a safety perspective but, there is also a law pertaining to ergonomics in the workplace. 450mm space to work on a live DB is not ergonomic, so in light of that you have another legal leg to stand on regarding how much space you need.
