      Thanks for that. Well I guess I must be in the zone somewhere as people dont seem to complain.

        Actually i dont have any staff. I only do repairs and mostly domestic stuff, gate motor repairs, coc's, tripping etc. I never went down the hiring route, too much red tape and hassles

          Besides that I go it alone to keep my standards up. People are prepared to wait for me so I reckon it's OK.

            i have now got to a point where i can no longer take on new customers and had to send out emails notifiying customers in the que that i can not attend to fault finding for the next 6 months..finalised my third biggest project since i started my bussiness...today...company turns "21" in a couple of days time

                My daughter is an attorney in the making and she tells me that you are compelled by Law to charge all your customers the same rate. I must be honest I dont. Any thoughts?

                    I will ask. Perhaps its part of the consumer protection act? When we discussed it I mentioned that policing such a law would be impossible and she agreed with me.

                      It's the CPA - Section 8 - Protection against discrimination.

                      The key word to bear in mind is "unfairly" - although the line between fair and unfair tends to be rather subjective.
