[Question] Help please with email from SARS

Hi, i just got an email from Sars which i requested, only problem is they said they got new service providers and are mailing everything im mime format. Baffles me, i cant read it, just a lot of characters. Sars says its my problem.

Any help would be appreciated

Hi there,

Generally you should be able to read it as most mail is in MIME format. However, if it gets corrupted (happens sometimes), you can try a little trick that once worked for me (bit long winded, but if you need the email, might work)
1. Open the email. Copy and all the text. Open word or notepad. Paste the text
2. Remove the "from / to" fields
3. Go file save as and change the format to .eml. Call it whatever you want and save to My Docs or the desktop.
4. Go to where you saved it to and double click it.

I have tried that, but it keeps opening it in wordpad and is still jumbled. If i look at the file properties it still says.eml.txt, how can i save it without the .txt extension?

When saving, in the filename field, type "sars.eml" without the quotation marks. This will force a .eml file save.

Double click the saved file. Problem sorted.
