Where are all the lady entrepreneurs?
Don't get me wrong I love all the male company but I seem to pick up a definite slant to males making the most posts.
Dave how about a category just for the ladies, we can discuss shopping or painted toe nails ......where we can ask the business questions without feeling blond

I think some lady's might feel a little intimidated.
We might have business concerns that might not affect males in the same way. We could discuss issues like having to compete for business in an man's industry or labour issues where we have problems with male staff.

I normally just use the same loo as the men and then for some reason they give me less trouble

I'm glad you've brought this subject up. Our chamber, Ekurhuleni North Chamber of Commerce (ENCOB), which represents KP, Edenvale, Tembesia and part of Bedfordview is starting a lady's forum next year, and the response so far has been great. I'm sure that if you start a forum here, it should prove to be successful.

A quick note on mechanics.

Adding a forum titled for business women only - no problem.

Setting access permissions for women members only, also no problem. But note then that it won't be public or crawlable either.

Just let me know what you want and spread the word.

Now I'm just wondering who is going to do the sex testing?

I read a book on marketing to women a while ago. One thing came through loud and clear. I am not good at writing the right sort of copy for women

Hi Quinn and welcome.

A special ladies forum? I am not sure that this is necessary? I don't think we have enough ladies to warrant it AND it raises the question of equality. One I grapple with a lot.

You see I believe in equality which in my interpretation means that all are equal. Men, women, black, white, young and old - if there is to be no discrimination, it also means to me, no preferential treatment for any group.

Then there is the other meaner side of me That says - Let the men see what we women have to put up with some times - it will foster understanding or at the very BEST (No, I did not mean to say WORST) have them running for the hills.......If it goes to a ladies forum it means they have the option of ignoring it altogether PLUS we don't get input from them on a potentially skewed and biased vision??

So Quinn, a question to you.......which washing powder do you consider to be the best and why?
