The assumptions being made in the above statement are typical anti-vax, conspiracy theorist, twisting of the science behind the reasons.
The anti vax section of the population continue making the most noise as the the balance have realized that common sense and following the science cannot be bought and shared.

The point behind the previous quarantine and isolation was to prevent the pressure, on hospitals and especially ICU wards, has changed with this particular variant as shown by the cases vs hospital admissions.
The asymptomatic cases have exceeded the symptomatic cases due to vaccine and immunity from previous or combination of the 2 , for now.

To continue shutting down departments and workplaces when the infectious stage has been past before finding out the person has covid makes no sense and it is up to each individual to play safe and protect others . This narrative has now been recognized and allowed for relaxation of previous isolation rules.

The continued PCR tests which tie up doctors and lab technicians that could be rather spent diagnosing other problems like diabetes , hiv , TB and cancer makes sense when there are quick tests that can produce the same results with quicker turn around times available.
These tests have now been found to be reasonable accurate and so the change in testing ,which as mentioned previously on this forum is being used extensively in the UK, makes sense.

The transmission of covid via aerosol droplets is still a proven fact which is why the wearing of masks in closed spaces and ventilation are still punted to be the main non medical intervention in the arsenal against covid.

Nobody knows what effect it is going to have on them until they get it and hopefully the viral load is low and recovery quick. Those that have been exposed to high viral loads will tell you about the longer lasting effects of tiredness , memory loss , concentration loss and tingle fingers .

We went through the process with an employee over the long weekend with a test and a friend ( Lucas ) the previous week. Both had slight symptoms, throat , tiredness and cough for a day or 2
Both recovered without hospitalization and both glad that they had been double jabbed
Used the 5 days prior to feeling symptoms and the 2 days prior being infectious which seemed to work effectively in identifying possible cases and then just used the 5 days being careful when around others .

We all need to be careful and follow the necessary steps so life can continue

As the time passes and the scientist learn more so the rules will change and we can be thankful that at least our government is listening to the science finally and not a political whim but with that said I would not want to be in any of there shoes making decisions.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing .

I will continue listening to the virologists that obtain degrees from recognized learning institutions vs the virologists that obtained their degrees from the University of Facebook.

I started working on a post that endeavoured to lean into the power of big data (rather than opinions and small sample results). However, somewhere along the way I realised that those that don't like what the data is saying (because it does not align with their belief) will reject the data as manipulated regardless of the objectivity.

For example, this report Monitoring Incidence of COVID-19 Cases, Hospitalizations, and Deaths, by Vaccination Status — 13 U.S. Jurisdictions, April 4–July 17, 2021 published on cdc.gov will no doubt be rejected as propaganda simply because of where it was published. Or because it doesn't cater for omicron. Or because the data has moved on.

But it is a substantial, peer reviewed report complete with a "declaration of potential conflicts of interest" section.

So I am kinda giving up on completing the post. However, I will leave what I had built so far for those who might want to see what the data suggests -

I just had a conversation with a client / friend that was hospitalized during the Delta wave. He was too young to be vaccinated. He has been hospitalized twice since recovering from the disease, but has suffered permanent lung damage and now has a cardiac issue. He is going for further tests in the new year. His wife was also infected but she recovered fully.

He is quite a large chap and of the type that will "sort you out quickly" if you belittle his experience

People don't care about data or facts, they want to fight because there is something to fight about.

The "anti-vax" community are like sheep. They will follow anyone that speak the words they want to hear regardless of the truth or facts. Only their facts are factual and anything that speaks against it isn't. It got so bad that we are seeing record high infection rates in Europe and the UK. But no... 120k sick people in a single day isn't a cause for concern as long as they can cry about masks can and the vaccine they are happy. They don't give a damn about the millions that died, nor will they recognize that good hygiene is a good thing because washing your hands someone became a bad thing??

Then we got the countless BS videos to boot. No... At some point i can honestly say, they can go live their lives far from me. See people are polite and these individuals are exploiting the politeness of others. For example if they where handled harshly and with force they wouldn't be nearly as arrogant as they are now.

All this said... be careful people are losing their patience with the "anti-vax" community. AND that is far more dangerous because people are tired of some anti-vax individual screaming their bloody lungs out at the local mall or parking lot. i saw that first hand when a man was dragged to the road by 40+ people that just had enough. He wanted to enter a Taxi without a mask and the rest of the people that was also waiting for a taxi had enough.

Now to be clear i am not saying their actions was right nor will i justify it BUT their actions speaks volumes.

To be a member of the pureblood club requires dedication, sacrifice, endurance and above all, the will to succeed.
It's much the same as being an operator in the special forces. In other words, you need a pair.
Many try but few succeed.

Like any other club, we have our rules and regulations.

Rules are as follows:

1. The use of any soap, shampoo or any detergent is strictly forbidden.
2. Toothpaste is a big no no.
3. Washing our hands ( without soap ) is restricted to once a week.
4. Clothes are only allowed to be rinsed once a month ( no omo, maq, surf or any washing powder allowed )
5. Once every 2 weeks we are allowed the luxury of showering. Once again, no soap, shampoo etc. is permitted.
Shower is restricted to 2 minutes. No hot water to be used as that might kill germs.
6. No toilet paper allowed.
7. We are not allowed to use a handkerchief or tissues ( strictly forbidden )
8. Very important, when coughing or sneezing, do so with gusto in the open and if you see someone close by, direct it towards them.
9. Underwear to be changed only once a week.
10. Only brandy and whiskey is allowed as any form of medication. It helps for most illnesses as long as you use enough.

The above rules were put in place to ensure immune systems that have not been compromised.
Doing our bit to reduce the burden on the healthcare system.

Some interesting reading and good to see scientists from all over the world working towards a common goal .
The fact that they are analyzing the effects of vaccine against some of the vaccine hesitant reasons , like pregnancy's etc will go a long way to assisting people to make informed decisions.

We will always have the anti establishment/anti vax shouting from the roof tops but the percentage of anti vax are small .The fact that they are using the vaccine hesitant numbers to support the narrative that they are in the majority is just a manipulation of numbers .

There have been articles putting the anti vaxxes at 1 % and if we relate it back to this forum were we basically have 1 person shouting anti vax , it would appear that the 1% is inflated

In the near future we will see what is going to happen. I suspect that most countries will impose mandatory vaccination and i suspect this will anger the anti-vax community even more. Time will tell what the outcome will be. i personally hope it doesn't boil down to this and people will take it upon themselves to move forward willingly to help protect humanity against this on going pandemic.

As of writing this info showed that about 48% of the world is vaccinated.
