Good day all
I have a question regarding cooler room in a butchery.
It is wired with a 4mm cable and has a 30amp mcb in db. Should it have a switch-disconector also or is it fine as is? Its protected also by th elcb .
The cold room would be classed as a fixed appliance so I'd say it should have an isolator switch at the condensing unit unless the MCB in the DB is close enough and qualifies.
This butchery has also a 3phase cold room and it is not protected by a ELCB. The client has spoken to his friend in JHB that is a MIE and he said it does not need to be protected by a ELCB. Is this true? I just need to confirm this, rather safe than sorry. Thanx for your input Andy
