My advice would be to pass the FTE ... secure the 2 pieces with a cable tie or 2 (strain relief) fold it back and use my favourite cheapest joint ... the pipe with the 2 glands (protection from the test finger) if you have space ...
Anyone recognise this ... looks just like something posted on this forum a while back ... at least now we have a standard to refer to when doing the coupling joint
MCE ELECTRIC is the leading distributor of industrial electrical products as well as commercial & domestic electrical products.
or ferrules and silicon filled heat shrink ... FTE secured with cable ties.
or if the budget allows https://www.mce.co.za/#!itemdetails/...2Dde778df52724
just remember you cant run the power and camera cabling in the same trunking.Comments are based on opinion...not always facts....that's why people use an alias.Comment

On top of each page is printed in red ( must be important ) This standard is exclusively for ECA.
What does that mean ?
On the bottom of each page, also in red, it says .. Photocopying or reproducing this standard constitutes a violation of SABS Copyright Rules.
Does that mean that copying and pasting sections for discussion here on this forum is not permitted ?Comment

If you buy that book at some or other strange outlet and a lower price then it is more than likely stolen - If you buy it at a higher price then rather go to ECA and purchase
Think it is purely a protection measure

In a company with multiple users you cannot stick it on the server and let everyone access it - you would need to buy a number of licenses , likewise hard copy you would need to buy a couple
I would not think it would stop us from pasting odd clauses here and there to explain something but would be different if I suddenly copy and pasted the whole book in one postComment

I printed my electronic version in A4 format, much better, you can highlight and put sticky notes etc.Comments are my opinion, unless regulations are attached to support the comment. This is social media, not a court room.Comment

It seems that the ECB is not coping with regulating the laws the reason for so many installation done by pirate contractors especially in the low cost housing schemes that is popping up like mushroomsComment

'The ECB is still the only organisation in the country fighting to ensure clarity, safety and inter-communication between all industry sectors. We do this with volunteers, little income and support. We appreciate all of those who contribute and donate to the ECB. As electrical products and technology penetration increases in the country we hope more and more people will stand behind us to try and ensure the South African public remain safe." It is about time electrical industry caught up with the 20th century. Creating rules and regs are one thing, not having the capacity to create awareness or support them seems to be lacking.
The technology to do all of the above is staring right at us, it seems finding the right people is the problem.
I keep hearing about how small business is the way forward, implementing large company methods are not going to work. Someone should slap some sense into the old methods and create a reaction that will redirect the industry down a new working structure.Comments are my opinion, unless regulations are attached to support the comment.
