Load shedding on its way ?

Looking at graphs this past week showed an interesting coal usage - Eskom managed to do quite well on Monday when the complete country was basically under cloud but with the lack of the "V" shape on the graph it just shows how much roof top/private solar there is out there .
Still don't understand how we have not had load shedding in the evenings as they running diesel in all the peaks even on the weekend
Can only be due to elections next year that they are trying to keep people happy

Read an interesting article this morning an how Eskom are shooting themselves in the foot .
Eskom keep telling us how great they have done to reduce load shedding - I look at the graph for the past week compared to what they were doing last year and there is a massive drop in demand/usage
Pasted Sep and Oct below and was interesting comparing to previous graphs posted previously in this post

The article had 2 interesting graphs showing the reduction of demand over the past couple years - This shows that it is not Eskom that has improved but the amount of roof top solar systems that has been installed which has saved load shedding

This is why it is so important for Eskom to think a little before they threaten the very customers who are carrying part of the load.
Just imagine if every person with roof top solar decided to switch off their power for 6 hours, then switch on a nd charge all the batteires, it could create a challenge for Eskom.
If I was the CEO of Eskom, I would be rolling out a massive public awaerness programs, with incentives to encourage people to register, because I do believe registering your SSEG is the right thing to do. Training staff to deal with the public and creating a streamlined fast moving process to make it easy for anyone wanting to register.
There is so much misinformation on social media, Eskom and the utitlties should be looking into ways to encourage registration, not threatening then with fines and disconnections.
If they dont it could cause more challenges than they coluld deal with.
I would extimate that the ratio of non registered to registered SSEG's is around 5 - 1 maybe even higher. (5 being the non registered), this is just form the little interaction I have in this industry.
I might be way off, but I am yet to find anyone who can offer an accurate ratio. I dont think people know the actual figure of SSEGS installed between 2022 and 2024.
IF anyone can prove me wrong I encourage you to attempt to give us true figures.Comment
